Our temporary windows
are painted with professional
window sign paint. They have a white undercoat or prime coat and
then the bright fluorescent color is painted on top of this coat.
Since the bright neon colors are so bright, they will fade after
exposure to untraviolet light. Depending on the amount of time
they are in the sun, they last from several weeks to three or
four months before noticibly fading. Most business owners change
their signs from time to time, not only for this reason but any sign is
more effective and traffic building when it changes and gives the
customer something new to look at and think about. These are
great for sales, special incentives, and grand openings as well as
everyday 'business as usual' advertising!
They are easy to remove when properly done.
First, spray the window with Scrubbing Bubbles or any
window cleaner containing ammonia. Simple Green also works well. Wait one minute, and then with a NEW, SHARP razor
blade peel the paint off one stroke at a time. It will be easy to then
wipe the paint on a rag. This is quick and leaves almost no mess!
If you try to scrape the sign dry, it will leave lots of residue
and is difficult and time consuming. If you are doing it
correctly, it will make almost no noise, but incorrectly you will hear
a scraping sound.
